LIQUIPIX presents Andrew Woodburn and Fiona Ayerst, two image-makers and their offerings from around the planet, from under the oceans to the mountain tops. Fiona and Andrew are available for assignments, photo courses, workshops and expeditions. Their work is available for publication and sale through www.africaimagery.com (along with wildlife partners Roger del a Harpe and Nigel Dennis). Their major speciality is underwater imagery for which they have won major international awards. Because they actively participate in extreme activities such as scuba diving, rock climbing, skydiving , mountain biking etc their feel for those activities can be captured in a unique and engaging style.

  Fiona Ayerst
Fiona started scuba diving in 1993 and very soon realised that this was her passion. After doing her Scuba instructors course in 1996, Fiona moved into combining this with an older passion of hers, photography. Putting these two passions together…………………well need we say more?

Fiona has gone on to become one of South Africa’s top underwater photographers and has won competitions both locally and internationally. Some of her winning shots and the prizes they won are found on this page.

Fiona has also tried some adventure/action land photography as she pursues some of her other interests and a climbing shot taken at Spitzkop Namibia in April 2003 is on this page too!

  Andrew Woodburn
Andrew has been image making since his schooldays but moved under water in 2000. After 11 years of diving he expanded into taking images of what he saw underwater to others. The whole spectrum of creatures and waters’ unique effects with light allow magical images to be captured in the last frontier on the planet, the oceans. Andrew enjoys nature’s images as well as pushing the limits with models, activities and special effects. The underwater approach can also be transferred to land and has been explored with photography of extreme sports and places. Andrew has been published in titles such as Divestyle, Travel Africa, Food and Home and SHAPE womens magazine as well as winning international and local awards.
